FEBRUARY 2008 - Meet  MOLLY AND MOE.  We have found the best photo for a Valentine setting. Friends forever! Molly and Moe are English Bulldogs and they ARE best friends.  Molly is 7 months old and Moe is almost 15 months.  Their favorite thing to do is sleep. They are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. They make their home with their family in Dover, DE.  

 

 

JANUARY 2008 - Meet  MICKEY AND GOLIATH.  Goliath- Age 2 1/2 Persian is a rescue kitty who loves to lounge.  Mickey- Age 8- Cocker Spaniel is a working pooch.  Rescued from the local high kill shelter, where he was thought to be too old,  Mickey spends his days as the official greeter at the Food Pantry.  Loved by seniors and the disabled youth that work in the pantry, Mickey is a real ham.
 
At home Mickey and Goliath are inseparable.  Here they have just finished a long winters nap on the sofa. They both make their home with their family in New York, NY.

SEPTEMBER 2007 - Meet  RUBEN.  Ruben is a 1 1/2 year old American bulldog. He loves to play outside and we heard that he is addicted to his Kong. He loves you to hit it with a baseball bat and he goes and gets it and brings it back to you and doesn't want to let go of it. When he's had a hot day his favorite thing to do is stand in the sprinklers to cool off. Ruben also does a few tricks and one of them is squatting on his back legs and begging for anything he can get. His owner tells us that he has them trained, so that when he barks at the toy we have to throw it. He is very special because he's, loyal, loving, and he makes us laugh! He truly is a great dog!  He has trained us well.

AUGUST 2007- Meet  BEIGE. Beige is an eight-month old Siamese mix who loves the simple life! He loves taking walks and believe this or not, he LOVES to take baths! Although he has a disability (he is blind in his left eye), this does not slow him down a bit! He runs after balls, chases down birds and is very friendly with other cats/dogs. Beige's favorite activity is to run after us when we decide it's jogging time. He is a little bundle of joy that, makes his home is the small town of San Jose, CA.

 

 

APRIL 2007 - Meet SOPHIE. Sophie is a Maltese. We are told that she has her own closet full of treasures to wear.  Sophie sleeps in her doggy purse when traveling and enjoys going where ever her owner goes.  She is great with kids and has a lot of doggy friends to play with. Sophie makes her home in Mission Viejo, CA

 

 

 

 

MARCH 2007 -Meet RYRO.  Ryro aka Ryan Ross is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler cross. Ryro loves to give the "HIGH-FIVE" and play fetch.  When you're talking to him, he likes to respond in a very odd vocal bark. Ryro makes his home with his loving family in Vancouver, B.C. - Canada.

 

 

 

 

 

FEBRUARY 2007-Meet BAILEY. Bailey is a 12 week old Yorkie/Maltese mix.  His favorite things to do is run and play with his brother Cricket and his sister Angel. We are told that Bailey is a very special dog and is loved dearly by his owners.  Bailey lives with his brother, sister and human family in Charlottesville, VA.

 

 

JANUARY 2007-Meet GRACIE & JACK.

Gracie and Jack are two beautiful Golden Retrievers. These full siblings are doing a great job posing in the leaves for a treat. Gracie is 2 years old (left) and Jack is 17 weeks (right).  What fun it is to play in the leaves!  Their owners say they definitely have the sweetest Goldens. Among Gracie's many titles and talents, she is also a Therapy dog that volunteers 2-3 hours a week at school, listening to Kindergarten and 1st Grade students read to her.  Her favorite stories are about "dogs".  She is great with children and very gentle.  Jack on the other hand is still learning.  He likes to play with squeaky balls and loves to chase his sister Gracie.  These two live with their owners in Granger, IA.  

DECEMBER 2006 - Meet MAX & OSKAR.

Max and Oskar were 3 yrs old in November. They are both pure bred miniature schnauzers. Max is black and silver and Oskar is Salt and Pepper. Their favorite activities, besides eating: they love to run, play and we are told they are extremely devoted to their owners. Max has a treat ball that he roots around the house or yard trying to get treats out of it. Oskar has a favorite soft stuffed dog that he carries around most of the time. They love to lie like babies in our laps at night watching TV and enjoy their daily walks, weather permitting. They both have different personalities. Max is more reserved, while Oskar is more outgoing and playful. These two Schnauzers are extremely smart and make their home, with their family, in Bethel, Ohio.

NOVEMBER 2006 - Meet KENZIE. Kenzie, is a three-year-old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler). We are told that Kenzie is a real joy and that she loves to play fetch, loves the water and will fetch sticks from a river "until the cows come home". She eagerly waits and not very patiently, for her daily walks. It seems that Kenzie has a favorite pastime of watching for cats.  Her owners say that she is a perfect house-dog.  She has all the comforts and toys a dog could want; and she deserves it since she was a rescue!  Kenzie warms the heart of her owners and lives with her family in Turner, OR.

OCTOBER 2006 - Meet ELLIE & DREAMER.  Ellie (6 months) and Dreamer (7 months) are not related, but you would never know.  These girls are always together and love to play catch and chase each other.  Ellie and Dreamer enjoy riding in the car and meeting new people. They live with their family in Michigan.

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2006 - Meet BOSCO. Bosco is a 2 1/2 year old Vizsla.  We are told that Bosco is a very playful and loving dog and likes to snuggle.  He even tries to sleep with family members if possible.  Bosco has proven to be a great asset and protector for his family and is a wonderful bird dog.  This picture is of Bosco, on a hot day, trying to hide from the spray of water and chose the flowers to hide between.   Bosco lives with his family in Appleton, WI.

 

AUGUST 2006 - Meet RICHIE.  Richie is an orange Tabby cat that is two years old. He loves to play fetch and also enjoys riding around in his papoose. Richie lives with his family in Orlando, Florida.
 

 

 

 

JULY 2006 - Meet from the left, we have Chuy (5 yrs 11 mths), Pebbles, Pepe and Selena.  Chuy was the smartest in the group and very protective.  He always came for car rides to work and was sure that he was privileged to go.

 

JUNE 2006 - Meet PING.  Ping is a 20 month old Blue Chinese SharPei.  He was rescued from Maine along with several other dogs.  Ping is a delightful and comical dog.  His special gift is to make everyone that meets him - smile. He enjoys playing with his many toys and does his best to keep track of each one of them.  Ping lives with his loving family in Kingston, Ontario  Canada. 

MAY 2006 - Meet BUSTER.  Buster is a 5 month old English Bulldog.  He enjoys playing with any kind of ball after his daily naps. We are told, he even likes shopping for them at the pet store.  Buster makes his home with his loving family in Tampa, FL.

 

 

APRIL 2006 - Meet GINGER "Ginger" is a purebred mini-Dachshund.  She was 19 weeks old when this photo was taken.  We are told that Ginger is extremely loveable and great deal of fun to have around. She loves to chase a tennis ball, run on the beach, play with all her squeaky toys, get a hold of your pant legs as you walk AND she will run all around the house for no reason at all!  Ginger, makes her home in Ventura, CA with her loving family.

 

 

MARCH 2006 - Meet LUCKY NIPO.  Lucky Nipo is 3 1/2 years old and a DSH white cat with piercing blue eyes.  She is an independent and strong willed cat, but desires to be accepted by other cats.  We are told that Lucky's middle name means "LOVE" in Hawaiian.  Lucky has been deaf since birth, but her owner says that never detours her from taking on day to day life.  She enjoys studying the outdoors from her favorite window.  Lucky makes her home in Eastman, GA with her loving family. 

 

 

FEBRUARY 2006 - Meet STANLEY.  Stanley the Pug, is 4 months old and lives with his family in Flagstaff, AZ. Stanley LOVES to explore in the forest and eat various plants and sticks that he comes across. He was born in the city, but once we moved to the country, a whole different side appeared. Stanley was made to be a true mountain dog.

 

 

 

 

JANUARY 2006 - Meet WINSTON.  Winston is 1 1/2 years old in this picture. Our staff thought he looked to be saying "A New Year already?" This was actually Winston's first trip to the beach and found the waves objects to bite and play in. He weighs 57 lbs and is convinced he is a lap dog.  His family says, that he is the most animated dog they have ever owned, and that laughter seems to abound when Winston is in the room. Winston makes his home with his family in Kelso, WA.

DECEMBER 2005 - Meet LILY (left) is 3 years old and SHASTA (right) is 5 years old. Both are Shetland Sheepdogs. Lily loves people and loves to play with toys.  Her favorite is bed time in the big bed with the down blanket.  Shasta is shy, but has a sweet disposition.  She loves to pose for pictures and does so for each holiday.  Lily and Shasta live with their family in Granbury, TX.

 

NOVEMBER 2005 - Meet RINGO & WILSON. Ringo (left) is 18 months old and Wilson (right) is 2 years old.  Both Ringo and Wilson are a Golden Retriever / Labrador mix.  These brothers are not only best friends, but they also keep busy playing in snow, swimming in any water available and playing with each other.  Ringo and Wilson make their home with their family in Seattle, WA. 

 

OCTOBER 2005 - Meet CHEWY. Chewy is a 6 year old Lhasa Apso.  This picture shows him all dressed up for his big duties for the day.  He carried the rings and walked down the aisle with the flower girl.  Without saying, Chewy was the hit of the wedding.  He was a rescue dog and has lived with his family for 3 years in Marietta, GA.

 

 

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2005 - Meet POLARIS.  Polaris is a one year old Bengal cat.   She loves to play in the water and we are told she is quite the talker.  Her favorite time is when she goes outside for walks on her leash.  She draws a lot of attention and loves it.  She makes her home in Sunnyvale, CA with her family.

 

 

AUGUST 2005 - Meet BITTA.  Bitta is a 9 year old German Shepherd.  She loves to go hiking with her owners.  This photo was taken while on a hike as she was peeking through a patch of spring daises.  Bitta is a clown and loves spending time with her kitty friends and chasing tennis balls.  Bitta lives with her family in  Shelton, WA.

 

 

JULY 2005 - Meet Q-TIP.  Q-Tip is a unique kitty and is very playful.  This picture was taken out in his backyard.  He had been watching birds fly in and out of the wooden birdhouse ten feet up this tree.  He was able to check out the wooden structure, but the interesting occupants had already left.  Q-Tip makes his home with another older cat and his family in Saginaw, MI.

 

 

JUNE 2005 - Meet PALADINE & HANNAH.  Paladine is a 3 year old English Mastiff and Hannah is a very thirsty 5 year old as well. Guess that is one way to get to the water.  Paladine and Hannah make their home with their family in Florence, OR.

 

 

MAY 2005 - Meet BABY. Baby is a 3 year old Blue Heeler and her wonderful litter of pups are Blue Heeler cross.  What a better photo to represent our Mother's Day month.  Her owner says they had been playing very hard that day and when she looked out the window found them altogether taking a nap with their mom.  Baby definitely has her "paws" full.  Baby and her pups make their home in Mingus, TX. 

 

APRIL 2005 - Meet CLEO.  She is a one year old Siamese and Calico mix.  She loves to climb trees while visiting the orchards.  We are told that Cleo is very gentle and extremely talkative.  She has the best of both worlds, living inside and being able to play on a farm.  She makes her home with her owner in Fresno, CA.

 

 

 

MARCH 2005 - Meet JACK.  Jack is a 6 month old Jack Russell Terrier.  We live with Jack in Apopka Florida.  Jack loves people and other dogs.  His favorite thing to do is to go to the dog park.  He also loves to be chased. Jack makes his home with his family in Apopka, FL.

 

 

FEBRUARY 2005 - Meet LAMBEAU.  Lambeau is a Terrier/Shepherd mix and was a rescue from a shelter in Illinois. Lambeau was a very frightened puppy when his owners rescued him, and is now one of the most loving and affectionate dogs a family could hope to have. He loves to play outside, in fact, loves the snow. When there is fresh snow on the ground, he will run and play in the yard for hours. We were told that his owner had to go into  work 3 hours late, twice this winter, because he just wanted to play outside. Lambeau lives with his family in Hartford, WI.

 

 

JANUARY 2005 - Meet MACK.  Mack is a one year old American Bulldog, who loves every season of the year.  During the wintertime, he bundles up and snoozes as much as he can.  When summertime comes,  he loves jumping around in the water.  His energetic spin

 

 

 

DECEMBER 2004 - Meet TALAYNA, DOC & NIKKIGetting snow in Washington State is not a common event.  So you can see why these three corgis are out having a good time.  Talayna is a show girl, Doc is a Certified Therapy Dog with the Delta Society and Nikki is just a daddy's girl.  They all try to sleep with their owners in one king size bed.  However, we are told, there is just not enough room.  These wonderful corgis make their home with their family in Orting, WA.

 

NOVEMBER 2004 - Meet LAZY.  We can all relate to enjoying the sunny days.  Lazy is a 6 month old kitten that has found a wonderful place to hang out and watch the world go by.   She makes her home, with her family, in Mexico Beach, FL.

 

 

 

OCTOBER 2004 - Meet RAVEN. Raven is a 4 year old American Pitt Bull.  She is a very loving affectionate dog and loves to climb trees.  The first branch of this tree is about 8 ft. high.  Raven is very agile, enjoys playing with the other family dogs and enjoys any affection that comes her way.  She makes her home in Qinlan, TX with her family.

 

 

SEPTEMBER 2004 - Meet "SIR ELVIS T-BONE SINATRA".  Known as T-Bone to his family has a very honorable name to live up to.)  This 8 month old pup is a loyal, friendly and lazy English-Bulldog.  He loves to play with the other family dogs and eats and sleeps during the calm moments.  His family says he snores, however, it doesn't seem to affect his sleeping.  He makes his home with his family in  San Juan, Puerto Rico.

 

AUGUST 2004 - Meet RYLAN.  Rylan is a 10 year old Domestic Shorthair.  She was rescued from a tree when she was 4 months old.  Her owner says she seems to think she is very agile.  Rylan is very smart and we are told that she can sit and lied down on command.  Rylan also prefers the dog treats that the dogs in the household receive.  She is a very loving cat and craves her owners attention, usually when her owner is trying to read a good book.  Rylan makes her home in Pekin, IL. 

 

 

 

JULY 2004 - Meet  MISTER WENDELL. Mister Wendell is a one year old Pug.  His owner says he likes to snuggle and sleeps no more than an inch away from her at night.  During the day time he likes to tease his Lab brother and sister by taking toys and playing keep away.  Mister Wendell makes his home with his family in Brighton, MI.

 

JUNE 2004 - Meet KADI.  Kadi is a two year old terrier mix who enjoys chasing squirrels, playing games (tug of war, chase, throw ball), doing tricks (beg, jump through hoops, play dead, dance).  She also enjoys helping in the garden (digging holes) and checking out the goldfish pond.  She is a constant source of love and enjoyment to her family in Pewee Valley, KY.  Her family says that Kadi is the best all around dog and they are very pleased to share their life with her.

 

 

MAY 2004 - Meet BUDDY. Buddy is 4 years old and was a rescued stray that was raised from a kitten, but is now a healthy 29 pound gentle and loving cat.  His favorite thing to do is sitting in the windows.  We understand from his owner that Buddy rode a skateboard once.  Buddy lives with his family in St. Paul Park, MN. and with 3 other rescued cats and one dog.   Just like Buddy we should all STOP TO SMELL THE FLOWERS, Life is to short.  

WOW!! Buddy says "Thank You" so much! We were excited! It was really a fun thing to do!

 

APRIL 2004 - Meet MAX.  MAX is a 7 year old Silky Terrier and his favorite hobby is catching up on the latest neighborhood gossip.  He seems to be very intent on something.  He makes his home with his wonderful family in Broken Arrow, OK.  

 

 

 

MARCH 2004 - Meet DALLAS. Dallas or "Dally" to her real close friends is a 3 year old German Shorthair Retriever.  Dallas loves the out doors and is a great hunter.  She is very patient while waiting for the hunt and loves to go riding on 4-wheelers.  She enjoys a good game of chasing the ball and is a great companion for the children in the family.  She makes her home with her family in Mesa, AZ. 

Thank you So Much for letting Dallas be your Pet Of The Month for March.  It was really neat to get your message.  Our family was really HAPPY!!!

 

FEBRUARY 2004 - Meet ABBEY.  Abbey is an 11 month old domestic short haired tabby.  Abbey joined her new family 3 months after a veterinarian office took her in as a stray.  Abbey had a tense 25 mile car ride down a freeway at 65 miles an hour.  It wasn't the speed or the length of car ride that bothered Abbey it was that she was hanging onto the underneath carriage of the car.  What a way to hitch hike...  After her long ride she was taken to the vets office where they took care of her until she could be adopted out.  While Abbey waited to be adopted, she was the greeter of all the incoming animals.  She now lives very contently in her forever home in Blaine, MN.

Wow! Thank you so much!! Abbey is a very special member of our family along with our other 2 cats. Her story is just one of the many remarkable stories of people going above and beyond to save the life of our precious animals. We are honored that you chose her for your pet of the month!! JANUARY 2004 - Meet TILLEY.  Kalchan's Time for Tilley (Tilley to her friends), is a 7 year old blue female Standard Poodle.   You would never know that this confident and amazing athlete was once a shy and timid little thing.  Even though she has the energy to leap high in the air for Frisbees, we are told that she is a very polite and mannered canine in the house.  She makes her home with her family in Mission Viejo, CA.

DECEMBER 2003 - Meet DUDE, his favorite things to do are play in the snow with his brothers & sister, and he especially LOVES eating the snow. In the warmer seasons he likes to go swimming & play in the river. He has been showing in community dog show competitions for 3 years and has 15 awards. Dude makes his home with his family in Dayton,  VA.  

 

 

NOVEMBER 2003 - Meet XERIC, a 12 year old German Shepherd that has no idea of his age.  When the leaves fall is a great time for Xeric.  He patiently waits for his owners to rake up the leaves and then he dives into the large piles of the freshly raked Maple leaves.  Playful and silly as he is...Xeric is loved by his family and lives in Shelton, WA.

OCTOBER 2003 - Meet PECOS, a Blue Australian Cattle dog pup. He lives in Desert Hills, AZ. This 8 week old enjoys a game of "aqua pup".  When not digging and rolling around in his water bowl, this sweet ~ yet fiesdy boy ~ enjoys playing with squeak toys and chewing on bully sticks.  Pecos has a big sister, who doubles as his best friend.  He has made a great addition to this family. 

Pecos and I would like to thank you for choosing his "Bandito" picture as the winner of your October Pet of the Month contest, and also for the wonderful gifts in the prize package that arrived yesterday. Pecos was so excited over the new squeak toy that he let his big sister take the chew stick and keep it. Thanks again!  Pecos and Debbie M.

 

SEPTEMBER 2003 - Meet  MRS. GRACIE LOU,  a 7 week old Weimaraner puppy.  She was smelling the flowers in our flower bed taking time to enjoy her surroundings. She loves to play with our Jack Russell and the Lab from across the street. Lately she likes to play in the water in her a little plastic swimming pool. We are told that Mrs. Gracie Lou is a very hyper dog; but her owner just can't help but love her. Mrs. Gracie Lou makes her home with her family in Waynesboro, MS.

 

 

AUGUST 2003 - Meet LOGAN, a 13 week old red and white Beagle.  Logan absolutely loves chewing up everything his little puppy teeth can get a hold of.  His favorite this is playing with our new kitten, Jordan.  The two of them gang up on the oldest resident cat, Niko.  When Logan is not chewing things up, he sits comfortably on mommy's lap and gives her sweet puppy kisses. Logan makes his home in Hampton, VA with his family.

 

JULY 2003 - Meet  KOBY, a blue hair Yorkshire Terrier. He is 5 years old and lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his human family and a canine brother Koby, who is a Lhasa Apso. Max's hobbies are playing with his pet frog and playing ball. Max and his frog have been friends for 2 years now and enjoy each others company.

 

 

JUNE 2003 - Meet  MURPHY who was 13 weeks old in this picture and is a soft coat Wheaten Terrier.  His owner says he has a foot fetish and loves anything to do with feet.  So hide your shoes, thongs and the socks (which are his favorites).  He likes to prance around with them in his mouth and then return them unharmed.  He is a joy to his owner and lives with his family in Calgary Alberta Canada.  

I received the package... thank you sooooooooo much Murphy just loves his new toy although he was willing to trade me for the chocolate bar!!   Thanks again - we are thrilled!

 

MAY 2003 - Meet SASHA. When this photo was taken, Sasha the Siberian kitten was at the tender age of 3 months.  She had only lived at her new home for a week and Sasha's owner wasn't sure if she was bummed out due to missing her mommy, or was just cooling off her belly due to the 95 degree weather that day. Running for the camera was no problem since Sasha was in no rush to move. Sasha turned a year old March 2003 and still continues to amaze her owner with her incredible personality and loving nature. Sasha lives with her family in Montreal, Quebec.    

How exciting!!! I am thrilled and proud to see her on your pet of the month page. I thank you so very much for choosing her picture.  It was such fun to receive the gift package this week. Sasha quite enjoyed her bobbing toy on a spring as curiosity got the better of her. I admit though, your Whisker Licken's treats was an even bigger hit. I can see I

APRIL 2003 - Meet SABRINA. Sabrina is a one year old Himalayan/Persian cat.  From what we hear, she loves to get into anything and everything! The kitchen cookware is just one of the things Sabrina likes to get into. She also checks out plastic bags and boxes when they are available.  Sabrina also enjoys getting into the grocery bags (after they've been emptied) and loves to be carried around in the plastic bags.  Sabrina lives in Houston, TX and has become a tremendous joy to her family. 

MARCH 2003 - Meet HAWKEYE & CHUCKIE. Hawkeye is part German Shepard and Husky and Chuckie is a 4 year old miniature Yorkshire Terrier. Friendship doesn't know age difference and these two are a prime example. Hawkeye is almost 15 years old and his favorite activity is napping. At 105 in dog years, wouldn't you?) Despite their differences in size, Hawkeye and Chuckie are best buds.  In the photograph, Hawkeye and Chuckie are enjoying a rare chilly day at their home with their family in Houston, Tx.

FEBRUARY 2003 - Meet SESI NITARA & EMBER.  Sesi Nitara (which means snow baby) is 6 months old, with her sister Ember who is 3 years old.  Both are Siberian Huskies and we are told they  love to pull there sled in the snow and of course torture each other on a daily basis!  What are little sisters for? They make their home with their family in Yakima, WA.

 

JANUARY 2003 - Meet SPOT  SPOT is a 5 years old English Bulldog that loves to relax on the couch in the winter, but loves to swim in the summer.  Here you see SPOT lounging on the couch reading her favorite magazine.  She makes her home in Oroville, WA with her family. 

Just a note to say thanks so much from Spot and I for the wonderful gifts.  Spot ate her large rawhide as soon as we opened the package and I love the oven mitt. Thanks for all the other things too.  

DECEMBER 2002 - Meet LITTLE GIRL & BUDDY.  Little Girl was found in a barn with her siblings at 5 weeks old. She is very independent, highly alert, smart, curious and a stupendous mouser.  Buddy was a given as a gift to his owner when he was 6 weeks old. He is a very gentle and loving cat, waiting for his owner to pick him up.  Both cats are enjoying a game of "Catch the Fly".  These two companions live in Vacaville, CA with their human family.  (By the way...they caught the fly.)

 

NOVEMBER 2002 - Meet BIM & LUCSIOUS.  Bim is a 13 month old red miniature Pinscher. She likes to hunt for bugs in the backyard, her favorites being June bugs! Her favorite treats are apples, watermelons and all kinds of nuts. She likes to play catch with just about anything.  Lucsious is a 4 year old Ocicat.  He still behaves like a kitten and is very playful and very curious. He wants to know everything! These two friends play and chase each other and after they get tired, they take a nap on the couch together.  These two friends make their home in Saint Charles, Missouri with their human family. 

OCTOBER 2002 - Meet ABBEY. Abbey is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and is 2 years old.   She is a real joy to live with and loves everybody, especially children.    When she sees a child or hears a child's voice, her little stub of a tail wiggles so hard that her whole little rear end wiggles. She is a Certified Therapy Dog and loves to go on visits.    She is also showing now in obedience and has her AKC CD title.  Her ultimate favorite thing to do is agility, especially jumping and going through tunnels.  Her favorite toy is an old gardening glove that she found in the garage.    Abbey lives with another Corgi, three German Shepherds and her human family in  Wake Forest, NC.

We received our surprise package yesterday in the mail.  Thank you!!!    I just now had time to E-Mail all my friends about the web site so you should be getting lots of 'hits' soon.    Abbey loves the goodies in the package and the new pen is perfect for working crossword puzzles AND filling out Obedience Show entry forms (<G>)   Thank you again.

SEPTEMBER  2002 - Meet CHARLIE & LOUIS Charlie (right) and Louis (left) are enjoying the view outside.  Both are almost two years old and love to chase each other and look outside their French doors, watching the neighborhood cats that have taken up on their deck.  Charlie & Louis are not alone, they live with their two sisters Annabelle and Mia.  Charlie was the first of the four dogs and was pampered quite nicely.  We are told that all the dogs think they are humans and love every minute of the special attention.  Charlie & Louis make their home, with their sisters and humans, in Pelzer, SC.

AUGUST 2002 - Meet BREWSTER. Brewster is a real charming, delightful, funny Scottie. He is verbal and has something to say about everything. Brewsters favorite toy is a ball and plays soccer with his "brothers" Angus and Seamus, and "sisters" Megan and Molly. He is the youngest of five Scotties.   His families favorite story about Brewster is when he found a nest of baby bunnies and nuzzled them and never harmed them. Brewster has a soft mouth and brings "live" critters into our home. He has brought in a mourning dove, toads, and a cicada bug. This summer he presented his owner with a snake as she sunbathed by the pool. UG!!!

Oh, we're so excited and thank you for choosing "Patriotic Brewster" as the PET OF THE MONTH. What a fitting photo to honor the people who lost their lives on 9/11/01. Once again, thank you and we are honored and shall treasure this award . Sincerely,  Ruth and Brewster

JULY 2002 - Meet  JENSEN.  Jensen is a three-year-old Black Lab who lives with his family in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.  He loves to swim and play with a ball.  He loves watching baseball!  What more could a dog ask for than a field full of kids, a ball and a big stick (baseball bat). Can you tell he is very content with life basking in the sunshine of this beautiful day.

 

JUNE 2002 - Meet PRIDE & JOY.  Pride (3 months old) & Joy (20 months old) are Maine Coon Cats. These two may look pampered and as they should, they are show cats.  They love to wrestle, cuddle, and play with furry mice. When they're not playing, we were told that they enjoy tearing around the house.  What elegant looking cats, can you tell they are mother and son?  They live with their family in  Marilla, NY.

Thank You So Much!  We are thrilled, and that happens to be my favorite shot of the 2 of them. Joy will be 2 years old in 10 days!  She was born on Bastille day 7/14/00! Pride is now almost the same size as mom as a 6.5 month old Maine Coon Boy! Pride's full pedigree name is Colecoon All-American Pride... so this was quite the honor for today July 4th! Joy is Champion Chadwickoon Rainbow Joy of Colecoon. 

Today was Pride's 7 month Birthday and Joy turned 2 yesterday!  So they were so happy to receive your nice prizes for their winning the photo contest.  I just love the placemat, they shared their treats with all of our other cats, we played with our bell ball, and mommy can use the pad next to her computer when she takes her rescue calls.

 

MAY 2002 - Meet TIGER.  Tiger embodies all things a companion and pet should be. He's crippled from the waist down from a spinal problem but he's happy and content. He gets around just about anywhere using his cart. Tiger's 7 yrs old and is a red male dachshund. He's been a study in perseverance in the face of this disability. His outlook and personality has touched us all.  

On behalf of Tiger and myself (Sam) thank you for the nice gifts.  The chew bone, squeak toy and liver treats were much appreciated.  You guys are too much.  Thanks again.  Tiger smiling :>)

APRIL 2002 - Meet  KOZMEAUX and SCHATZEE.  Kozmeaux (left) is a 5 year old male Weimaraner and is the son of 7 year old female Schatzee (right). They are shown here in their backyard where they enjoy wrestling with each other and barking at the neighbor dogs through the fence. They live with their family in New Orleans, LA

 

MARCH 2002 - Meet TURBO TASKER HAIR, an active 5 month old, red & white, Pembroke Welsh Corgi male.  As the excitement of spring arrives, it appears that Turbo is ready to be a part of the scenery dressed in his colorful blue bandana.  We are told that Turbo likes to kiss the fish in the pond.  He also likes to climb up the slide of his boy's clubhouse and then slide down.   Turbo lives with his family in Atwater, CA.

FEBRUARY 2002- Meet  PEEKA & BOO, 2 month old homeless, feral Siamese kittens.  Peeka & Boo, sister and brother, came to live with their new family on October 11, 2001.  These once homeless, feral kittens have found a great home.  Peeka now weighs 5 lbs and is full of affection and love.  Boo is 10 lbs of handsome masculinity.  We are told, that these two have not only completely taken over the home; but also the hearts of their new family in Toledo, OR.

Peeka & Boo were delighted to be the first feline POM poster kitties and really enjoyed the treats and toys that were sent their way.  Thank you again.  Peeka, Boo and their family.

 

JANUARY 2002- Meet ANNIE, a 2 years old Sheltie.  We are told that Annie loves to act like a bird dog, but seems to never catch any birds.  She lives on a big horse ranch with a Manx named Jigs and a German Shepherd called Bella.  Annie lives in Brenham, TX with her family.

 

 

DECEMBER 2001 - Meet SHASTA, an energetic Australian Cattle Dog (aka Queensland Blue Heeler) and is 3 years old.  We are told that Shasta loves to play with other dogs on the beach, chase squirrels that come in her yard and likes to run the agility course.  Her favorite part of the agility course is the curved tunnels. Shasta lives in San Francisco, CA. 

Shasta is honored to be featured as your December dog of the month, and says thank you for the wonderful gifts you sent.   She loves the fuzzy bone, and sleeps with it by her side and thank you for your kind generosity.  Woof, woof!       Millie Lee for Shasta 

 

 NOVEMBER 2001 - Meet AMOS,  a wonderful Terrier mix and is 7 years old.   He is all decked out for the holidays and appears to be sitting on the lap of Santa Clause.  What do you think?  Amos lives with his family in Beavercreek, OH. 

Amos wanted me to thank you for the wonderful surprise we received.  The minute I opened the box he "had to have" the chew toy and some of the treats.  He's so happy with his new stuff. . .  And the beautiful bandana was perfect.  He'll wear it to all his Christmas festivities.   What a wonderful surprise.  Thank you all very much.  Amos and His Family

OCTOBER 2001 - Meet PINKU, beautiful dog that was adopted by her new family  3 months ago. She is quite a lady at 7 years of age!! She is the most playful, adorable dog in the whole world and her owners feel they are very lucky to have her.  She lives with her family in Highland Park, IL.

SEPTEMBER 2001 - Meet  both are Bichon Frise males. Calvin (left) is 4 and Hobbes (right) is almost 5. They love going for rides, especially in the Jeep with the top off.  Once they are secured in a seatbelt harness in the back! They live with their family in Volga, SD.

I just wanted to give you a HUGE thank you!  We received your gifts today and wanted you to know that you are very kind :)  It was especially nice of you to send two of the bandanas and two of the rawhides.  I've had a lot of fun telling people about the guys winning the photo contest.  Again, thank you. Candy, Hobbes, and Calvin

 

 AUGUST 2001 -  Meet ROCKS-C, a Red-Headed Tri Pembroke Welsh Corgi female.  She was born on May 18, 2001 and is only 10 weeks old in this photo.   She has an 8 year old friend (another RHT Corgi) by the name of Smokey and resides with her family in Cleveland, OH.

We would like to thank you very much. The prize package was much appreciated by us all. The squeak bone toy is Rocks-C's favorite of all her stuffed toys, and we've been using the stickers on everything. Thanks again.   John, Nadine & Rocks-C
