IS YOUR PET PHOTOGENIC? Now is your chance to show them off. Competition is getting better and better with each month. Each month, we will choose one pet photo to be the PET OF THE MONTH from the new entries and our every growing file. If your pet is chosen, as the PET OF THE MONTH, your pet will receive a FREE GIFT provided by GOIN’ TO THE DOGS and will be placed in an honored spot on the front page of our website during the following month. Check your photos of your dog or cat, and send in the one you think is the best to the address below. All photos must have information included to be ELIGIBLE (Please see Rule #7).

EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE TO SEND IN PHOTOS. BUT ONLY THOSE IN THE UNITED STATES & CANADA WILL RECEIVE A FREE GIFT. (Due to current postal fees and limitations.) If a photo entry is sent from outside US or Canada, your pet will still be recognized on our website - but no physical gift will be sent.

Please make sure all photos (digital, scanned or mailed) are clear and easy to see. The background scenery is very important in every photo.

1) Pictures are to be of your dog or cat. Only photos of dogs and cats will be included in this contest. PLEASE NO PHOTOS WITH HUMANS INCLUDED AND DO NOT ADD TEXT or DATES TO YOUR PHOTOS. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL QUOTE, PUT IT IN YOUR DESCRIPTION NOT ON THE PHOTO.

2) You only have to enter once. Unless you have another picture you want to send. We keep all entries on file. We review old and new entries each month as we pick our next PET OF THE MONTH winner. One winner per household.

3) To enter by Email: send a digitized (scanned or from a digital camera) photo of your dog or cat to gttd@teleport.com . Please send photo in a JPG or GIF format only.

4) To enter by Mail: send a photograph, not to exceed 4x6 (PLEASE do not send black/white or colored copies). Entries MUST be clear and easy to see. ONLY SEND PHOTOS YOU DO NOT WANT BACK. WE WILL NOT RETURN PHOTOS

5) Photographs showing that harm or cruelty was done to any pet to get this picture WILL NOT be considered at all.

6) PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: If your pet is dark in color, use a light background. If your pet is a light color, use a dark background. It is very hard to distinguish a dark cat or dog when the photo is taken against a dark background. Make sure you have good lighting when taking your snap shots. Having a good contrast will help your photo stand out among the others. Make them unique.

7) Must include information about your pet and the photo. Email your information to gttd@teleport.com For example: the pets’ name, age, breed, what city/state you live in AND what your pet likes to do the most. Tell us why your pet is so special. See current photo winners for ideas on what kind of information to send. The more information the better. Your last name will not be displayed on our website. All photos must have information about the pet included, to be eligible.

8) When you mail your photo take care to mark your envelopes “PHOTO ENCLOSED – DO NOT BEND”.

9) To ensure photo safety, include cardboard to keep the envelope from being accidentally bent.

10) Include your name, address and email with your photos and emails. This way we know where to send the gift if your photo wins.
